Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi

We used toppings like pickled ginger, chilli and fresh herbs to really bring this meal to life!⁠

Lemongrass Chicken Ba Mi



  • 1 small raw chicken breast (approx 110g)

  • 2 tsp Five Tastes Stir Fry Shot – Lemongrass & Kaffir Lime

  • 1 tsp reduced-sodium soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 close garlic

  • 1 cup leafy greens

  • 1/4 capsicum, sliced thinly

  • 1/4 cucumber, sliced thinly

  • 1 Tbsp pickled ginger

  • 1 tbsp Heinz light mayonnaise

  • 1 tsp fresh chilli, cut into thin slices

  • 1/3 long baguette

  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander/mint



  1. Mix together the stir-fry shot, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic in a bowl. Cut chicken into 3x3cm pieces and marinate in sauce for 5 minutes. Heat up a pan or grill on medium/high heat nd cook in a spray of olive oil until cooked through.

  2. Cut baguette longways and toast under a grill for 2 minutes.

  3. Add all ingredients to the inside of the baguette.

  4. Enjoy!
